Job Summary
To support network automation initiatives, the full-time Software Engineer II will design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and microservices while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python applications and microservices for network automation and orchestration
- Develop gRPC-based services using Protocol Buffers to define APIs and integrate with Cisco NSO for network configuration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation solutions and troubleshoot application issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, including production application maintenance
- Proficiency in Python and experience with object-oriented programming and software development best practices
- Experience developing or integrating APIs and backend services
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and CI/CD processes
