Software Engineer in Test
Job Summary
Owning automation outcomes for assigned product areas, the full-time Software Engineer in Test will build and maintain reliable Playwright and TypeScript automated tests, collaborate with teams to determine automation strategies, and direct AI agents to enhance testing processes in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own product areas by participating in planning and determining test strategies before code development
- Build and evolve the test automation framework, ensuring effective coverage and addressing flakiness at the root cause
- Direct AI agents to plan, generate, and maintain tests while reporting coverage, risks, and defects to development teams
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing with strong automation ownership
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices
- Hands-on experience with Playwright test automation framework and Page Object Model (POM) design pattern
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Proven skills in using and improving AI agents for test engineering tasks
