Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Job Summary

Focused on building and maintaining deployment artifacts, the full-time Software Engineer, Infrastructure will work remotely to enhance the self-managed experience for customers using Camunda 8, engaging with internal teams to prioritize deployment challenges and improve overall software quality.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and release C8 distribution artifacts for self-managed customers, including Helm Charts and Docker Compose
• Improve the reliability and usability of deployment artifacts throughout the customer lifecycle, from installation to day-2 operations
• Collaborate with internal customer-facing teams to understand deployment issues and influence prioritization based on real customer feedback

Required qualifications

• Strong expertise in building and maintaining Helm Charts and deploying applications on Kubernetes
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and managing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and effectively communicate across teams
• Pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving
• Genuine curiosity about customer challenges and willingness to engage with product development
