Software Engineer - SDN
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Software Engineer - SDN, the candidate will manage the assessment, hardening, testing, and modernization of a Government-provided software-defined networking baseline capability while collaborating with platform engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and operation in Navy environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the technical assessment of the SDN codebase, focusing on architecture, build process, and security posture
- Design and implement secure changes to remediate vulnerabilities and improve resilience
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for hardening and modernization changes
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in C++, Python, and Bash scripting
- Strong fundamentals in Linux and networking, including TCP/IP and routing
- Experience with secure software development practices and vulnerability management
- Demonstrated testing discipline across unit, integration, and regression testing
- U.S. citizenship and ACTIVE US Government SECRET security clearance or higher
