Job Summary

To enhance the performance of the Solana network, the full-time remote Software Engineer, Storage will develop and optimize the AccountsDB storage engine, focusing on improving throughput, reducing resource footprint, and ensuring data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the core storage paths of AccountsDB to enhance throughput and latency
• Reduce memory and disk requirements to maintain efficient validator hardware performance
• Create and execute comprehensive tests to validate the reliability and efficiency of the storage engine

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant practical experience with 3+ years in data stores or high-throughput storage systems
• Proficiency in Rust, C, or C++ with a strong understanding of low-level storage mechanics
• Advanced knowledge of kernel-level and hardware I/O pipelines, including NVMe constraints
• Experience in building concurrent systems with knowledge of lock-free structures and hardware memory models
• Ability to debug complex software architectures and isolate performance bottlenecks
