Software Engineer, Systems Architecture

Job Summary

Owning the architecture and data handling of a new software product, the full-time Software Engineer, Systems Architecture will design end-to-end solutions for processing sensor data while working remotely with a small team to rapidly develop innovative capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design the overall software architecture, ensuring seamless integration of data flow, processing, and user-facing products
• Architect data handling and pipelines, including time-series storage systems and reliable data ingestion processes
• Develop detection and classification capabilities using various sensor modalities and contribute to pattern-of-life anomaly detection

Required qualifications

• Experience in designing and building systems with architectural stakes, particularly in edge/embedded software or data pipelines
• Proficiency in designing and operating time-series data systems and message-based ingestion pipelines
• Full-stack development skills, with experience in backend (Python, Go) and frontend (React/TypeScript) technologies
• Hands-on experience with at least one sensing/signal domain, such as acoustic, EO/IR, or radar signal processing
• Ability to manage CI/CD and cloud infrastructure, preferably in AWS environments
