Software Engineer, Trust & Safety
Job Summary
To enhance platform safety, the full-time Software Engineer, Trust & Safety will build and operate systems for detecting abuse and fraud, manage the technical enforcement pipeline, and develop internal tools for investigation and decision-making in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and operate systems to detect abuse and fraud across signup, payments, and usage
- Own the technical enforcement pipeline from detection to human review and implementation of restrictions
- Develop internal tools to support investigation and enforcement, including case queues and alerting mechanisms
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience building and operating production systems, preferably in trust & safety or fraud prevention
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and JavaScript runtimes
- Ability to write SQL against large datasets and analyze precision, recall, and decision costs
- Experience in identifying and solving problems in a fast-paced environment with a high level of agency
- Resilience and discretion in handling sensitive user data and potentially disturbing content
