Job Summary
To drive the development of Affirm's first fully-featured ads platform, the remote full-time Software Engineering Manager will set technical strategy, collaborate across teams, and foster a culture of quality and ownership while managing critical business-impacting projects.
Key responsibilities
- Set technical strategy for the team and manage critical projects impacting business outcomes
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure technical sustainability and manage risks
- Develop talent on the team by providing feedback, guidance, and advocating for best practices in code review and design standards
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
- Extensive experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
- 2+ years of experience in Ad Tech or related platforms
- Proven track record of delivering major features and system components through defined technical and execution plans
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
