Software Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of 3 to 5 engineers, the full-time Software Engineering Manager will oversee the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions, manage team delivery, and ensure high-quality outcomes while working remotely from Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding their technical growth and project delivery
- Lead the design and implementation of multi-region AWS architecture, ensuring redundancy and scalability
- Collaborate with client engineering and product leaders to prioritize work and maintain high standards for code quality and reliability
Required qualifications
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a management role
- Significant hands-on experience with AWS, including infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and Terraform
- Proficiency in building production front-end applications with React and TypeScript
- Experience with complex, event-driven, microservice-based systems and full software development lifecycle
