Job Summary
To build and lead a new Data Platform team, the full-time Software Engineering Manager will drive strategy and execution of initiatives to accelerate ML dataset generation and enhance the data warehouse stack, while fostering a high-performing engineering culture in a hybrid or fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage a high-performing team of data and infrastructure engineers, defining goals and roadmaps aligned with company objectives
- Define the technical vision for data storage and ML dataset generation, evaluating technologies to enhance data processing capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in data platform engineering
- 3+ years in a technical lead or management role with direct reports
- Extensive experience managing large-scale data platforms and workflow orchestration frameworks
- Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of cloud infrastructure solutions
