Job Summary
Working remotely from India, the full-time Software Installation Engineer will own the installation and update experience for assistive technology products, maintaining current installers while evaluating modern deployment strategies and collaborating with engineering teams in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion installers, resolving installation issues and delivering new features
- Evaluate and lead the adoption of modern installation technologies, such as MSIX and WiX
- Develop custom actions and bootstrapper components in C++ and C# while ensuring accessibility and smooth deployment
Required qualifications
- B.E., B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree in computer science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining software installers or deployment packages
- Solid understanding of installation fundamentals applicable across platforms
- Professional experience with C++ and/or C#
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in production environments
