Job Summary
Owning the software product roadmap for analytical instrument software, the full-time Software Product Manager will prioritize features, conduct customer interviews, and collaborate with R&D teams to ensure software meets market expectations while working remotely with occasional office presence in High Wycombe.
Key responsibilities
- Define and prioritize the software product roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial opportunities and customer value
- Conduct structured voice of the customer (VOC) interviews and competitive benchmarking to gather software requirements
- Serve as the primary interface between product management and software R&D, maintaining a prioritized software backlog and overseeing user acceptance testing
Required qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in software product management or related fields within analytical instrumentation or scientific software
- Proven track record of owning a software product roadmap from requirements through release
- Working knowledge of analytical instrument software, including instrument control and data processing workflows
- Familiarity with agile product development practices, including backlog management and sprint planning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
