Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure the quality and reliability of software releases, the full-time remote Software Quality Assurance Engineer will manage hands-on testing and QA processes across web applications, APIs, and connected workflows, while also contributing to business analysis to clarify requirements before development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute various tests including functional, regression, exploratory, API, and end-to-end tests, while documenting defects and maintaining automated regression suites
• Maintain test plans, test-case libraries, and QA metrics, as well as participate in sprint planning and provide QA go/no-go recommendations based on release criteria
• Review specifications and user stories, write or refine acceptance criteria, and map business flows to identify gaps or ambiguous logic prior to development

Required qualifications

• 3+ years in software QA for web applications and APIs
• Experience with manual test design, regression, exploratory, and edge-case testing
• Proficiency in API testing with tools like Postman and working knowledge of SQL
• Test automation experience with frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Strong skills in defect reporting, test documentation, and acceptance-criteria writing
