Software Test Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the quality assurance process, the full-time Software Test Engineer will perform manual and exploratory testing, design automated test scripts, and validate API behavior while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity if local to San Mateo, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct functional, exploratory, sanity, and end-to-end testing across mobile and web applications
- Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and web applications
- Validate REST API behavior and maintain traceability between requirements and test results
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on software testing experience, including both manual and automation testing
- Experience with web and mobile automation frameworks, particularly Playwright and Appium
- Proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman
- Practical experience using AI tools for test case generation and log analysis
