Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring that software systems meet organizational standards and user requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance
- Lead testing efforts, document results, and communicate findings to stakeholders for resolution of issues
- Utilize programming skills to create automated tests and improve testing processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium and JUnit
