Job Summary
Seeking a talented Software Test Engineer, the full-time remote position will develop and execute test plans, write test cases, and ensure software quality for Veterans Affairs projects while requiring strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure software meets organizational standards
- Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, documenting results and resolving complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analysis of test results and improve testing procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as CI/CD tools
