Software Testing Principal
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Testing Principal will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensure software quality, and lead testing efforts for IT systems while managing complex software projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures to meet organizational standards
- Lead software testing efforts, including manual and automated testing, to ensure defect-free operation
- Document test results, analyze issues, and communicate progress to management while providing technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, along with familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with defect tracking tools and continuous integration/deployment tools
- Deep hands-on experience with EDIFECS and understanding of X.12 EDI Transactions Standards
