Software Testing Principal
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Testing Principal will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensure high-quality deliverables for software projects, and lead testing efforts to verify system functionality and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet organizational standards
- Lead software testing activities, including both manual and automated testing, to ensure defect-free operation
- Document test results, analyze issues, and communicate progress to management while providing technical solutions to complex problems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, along with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools and defect tracking systems, such as GitHub Actions and JIRA
- Deep hands-on experience with EDIFECS and knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange X.12 transactions
