Software Testing Principal
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Testing Principal will develop and execute test plans, conduct software testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables for complex software projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with organization standards
- Lead testing efforts, documenting results and communicating findings to stakeholders while resolving complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with testing tools and languages such as JMeter, Java, Python, and version control systems like Git
- Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and experience with Edifecs is preferred
