Solar CAD Technician
Job Summary
Supporting an assigned group of engineers, the full-time Solar CAD Technician will provide technical drafting support and create construction drawings/designs in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Complete design and drafting tasks within the Solar department under the supervision of experienced engineers
- Create and modify construction drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other relevant software
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
Required qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in Technical Drafting or actively pursuing a four-year engineering degree, or equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
- Familiarity with PVFARM, PVCase, or other utility-scale PV software is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of PV electrical and mechanical design is beneficial
