Solaris and Storage Administrator

Job Summary

Experienced professionals will find a full-time hybrid opportunity as a Solaris and Storage Administrator, responsible for providing advanced operational support for the NSA Retained infrastructure, including managing Solaris/SPARC systems and associated storage services, while ensuring compliance with governance and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the NSA Retained Solaris/SPARC estate, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and recovery
• Manage SAN and NAS services, ensuring proper storage connectivity, backup operations, and performance monitoring
• Lead incident response and technical planning for upgrades, migrations, and operational improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience
• Eight or more years of enterprise infrastructure experience with Oracle Solaris and SPARC platforms
• Hands-on administration of enterprise SAN and NAS platforms, preferably NetApp
• Experience with enterprise backup systems, including NetBackup and tape libraries
• Knowledge of privileged-access governance and compliance in regulated environments
