Job Summary
Building the technical selling function for MapQuest APIs, the full-time remote Principal Solutions Architect, API will manage technical discovery with clients, create proofs of concept using real customer data, and facilitate smooth transitions from competitors while ensuring successful customer sign-offs.
Key responsibilities
- Run technical discovery sessions with engineering leaders to understand their architecture and workflows
- Build proofs of concept using real customer addresses and datasets across various mapping functionalities
- Develop migration guides and tools to facilitate easy transitions from incumbent mapping solutions
Required qualifications
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with geospatial technologies and platforms like Google Maps, Mapbox, or ESRI
- Strong background in technical sales or solutions architecture
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences
- Proven track record of building and managing technical proofs of concept
