Job Summary

To support the healthcare documentation process, the full-time South Carolina Coder will accurately code medical records and perform data entry tasks while learning coding conventions and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately code medical records and perform data entry tasks under supervision
• Engage in daily assignments to reinforce foundational coding skills
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred
• Basic knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc.)
• Expert use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
