South Carolina Collections Analyst

Job Summary

Collaborating with Revenue Cycle leadership, the full-time South Carolina Collections Analyst will manage self-pay inventory, analyze bad debt for tax setoff opportunities, and ensure accurate vendor reconciliation in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage self-pay inventory and aging through the self-pay revenue cycle process using Epic tools
• Analyze bad debt inventory to identify potential tax setoff opportunities and generate necessary reports
• Coordinate with the SC Department of Revenue and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate posting of tax setoff transactions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma with four years of medically related customer service/collections experience, or a bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Epic is required
• Understanding of medical terminology and health insurance practices is preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain effective relationships with contacts
• Strong organizational skills and initiative to be goal-oriented
