Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder I.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assign codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses, procedures, and conditions based on patient medical records
- Utilize ICD-10 and CPT classification systems in accordance with official coding guidelines
- Adhere to Health Information Management Department policies and procedures during coding tasks
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a coding credential from AHIMA and/or AAPC
- Relevant experience in medical coding is preferred
- Knowledge of official coding guidelines is essential
- Familiarity with Health Information Management practices is beneficial
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
