Job Summary

To ensure accurate coding for various medical services, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Coder will assign codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses and procedures in accordance with established guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures based on patient medical records
• Utilize classification systems including ICD-10 and CPT for coding assignments
• Adhere to official coding guidelines from relevant professional associations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience required
• Licensure/Certification: RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, or other coding credential required
