Job Summary
To support a nurse practitioner team providing general oncology triage and palliative care services, a South Carolina Licensed Collaborating Physician will oversee clinical consultations, co-sign NP charts, and participate in collaboration meetings on a part-time remote basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as collaborating physician of record under a written nurse protocol agreement with the South Carolina Medical Board
- Co-sign NP clinical notes and charts as defined in the protocol agreement
- Participate in regular collaboration meetings with NPs to review cases and quality concerns
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license (MD or DO)
- Principal practice location physically based in South Carolina
- Prior experience with NP/APRN collaborative or supervisory relationships preferred
- Comfortable with remote/asynchronous consultation model
