South Dakota Licensed Pharmacist
Job Summary
To support a growing telemedicine practice, the PRN South Dakota Licensed Pharmacist will evaluate prescriber orders, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and educate patients on medication usage while working remotely for a minimum of 10 hours weekly, primarily on weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate prescriber orders for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness across multiple EMRs
- Collaborate with physicians to recommend optimal therapy solutions following ASHP standards
- Provide drug-related information to healthcare providers and educate patients on medication usage and side effects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Pharmacist license in South Dakota is required
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency or hospital experience preferred
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 120 days of hire
