Spanish Linguist for Life Sciences

Job Summary

Seeking experienced English to Spanish (ESUS/US based) linguists for Life Sciences, the freelance remote role will focus on translating clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents, while performing machine translation post-editing and copy editing to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English to Spanish LatAm
• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on machine-translated safety content
• Conduct Copy Editing of translated/post-edited content for accuracy, tone, and consistency

Required Qualifications

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or equivalent, or a minimum of five years of professional translation experience
• At least two years of practical translation experience in life sciences and medical documents
• Familiarity with CAT tools (XTM/Phrase) and Track Changes in Microsoft Word
• Native Spanish speaker born and raised in the U.S. or residing in the U.S. for at least 10 years
• Candidate must be based in the U.S
