Spanish Linguist for Life Sciences

Job Summary

To support clinical trials and regulatory documentation, the freelance English to Spanish (ESMX native) Linguist for Life Sciences will translate and edit clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory documents remotely while ensuring compliance with strict turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English to Spanish LatAm
• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on machine-translated safety content
• Conduct Copy Editing of translated/post-edited content for accuracy, tone, and consistency

Required Qualifications

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent degree, or a minimum of five years of full-time professional experience in translation
• At least two years of practical translation experience in life sciences, specifically clinical trials and pharmacovigilance
• Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM/Phrase
• Proficiency in using Track Changes in Microsoft Word
• Native proficiency in ESMX (Mexican Spanish)
