Job Summary
To support a growing portfolio, the full-time Special Assets Associate will manage and resolve non-performing and high-risk residential bridge and fix-and-flip loans remotely, focusing on minimizing losses and developing strategic resolutions in collaboration with senior leadership and legal counsel.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of non-performing and high-risk Residential Transitional Loans, ensuring compliance and minimizing losses
- Develop and execute workout strategies, including loan modifications and foreclosure processes, while assessing borrower performance and collateral conditions
- Perform problem loan analysis and present resolution strategies to senior management and capital partners
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in special assets, credit workouts, or asset management, particularly with Residential Transitional Loans
- Strong understanding of workout strategies, foreclosure processes, and OREO management for residential properties
- Proficient in GAAP impairment analysis and risk ratings related to residential credit
- Experience coordinating with legal counsel and internal teams for complex loan resolutions
- Ability to analyze data to determine optimal resolution strategies
