Job Summary
To support a growing sales team, the full-time remote Specification Writer will prepare technical door and hardware specification documents while collaborating with architectural firms to provide innovative and compliant door opening solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating and producing door and hardware specifications for various commercial building applications
- Recommending solutions for security, aesthetics, sustainability, and accessibility in design
- Assisting with project submittal reviews and ensuring adherence to specifications during the bid process
Required qualifications:
- College/University degree in architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of industry-related experience in commercial locksmithing, door hardware installation, or project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM tools for sales tracking
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and facility standards
- Willingness to travel and meet customer requirements
