Splunk Data Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting enterprise cybersecurity initiatives, the remote contract Splunk Data Analyst will analyze data within Splunk, develop metrics, and create reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights for security and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage Splunk to ingest, normalize, and analyze security event logs and vulnerability data across cloud-hosted applications
• Build advanced data models and correlation searches to enhance application-level visibility and support cloud governance
• Deliver actionable analytics and compliance reporting that tracks workload health and security posture within defense cloud environments

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required
• IAT II (Security+) or higher-level certification required
• Experience analyzing large-scale log datasets and security telemetry from enterprise defense cloud platforms
• Strong experience working with Splunk in analytics, reporting, or cybersecurity environments
• Understanding of vulnerability management concepts, CVEs, and remediation workflows
