Splunk ITSI Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the architecture and operationalization of Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) for the Naval Supply Systems Command, the full-time salaried Splunk ITSI Engineer will design and configure systems to enhance service health monitoring, reduce alert noise, and unify security and IT data in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, and configuration of Splunk ITSI in collaboration with the existing engineering team
• Ingest and normalize telemetry from various data sources to assess log quality and ensure effective monitoring
• Develop dashboards and alert policies that align with vulnerability management priorities and operational needs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science
• Experience designing and troubleshooting Splunk ITSI in a Splunk Enterprise environment
• Strong skills in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) for developing searches, alerts, and dashboards
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification or an equivalent certification
• One of the following Splunk certifications: ITSI Certified Admin, Enterprise Certified Admin, or similar
