SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time SQL Database Administrator, the successful candidate will manage the design, tuning, and maintenance of core SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability and seamless data management while working primarily in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee database administration, including design, installation, upgrade, and daily maintenance of SQL Server environments
• Ensure optimal performance through continuous monitoring, tuning, and T-SQL optimization, while managing Always On technology and clustering solutions
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures, collaborating with developers to support application integration and security maintenance

Required qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in SQL Server database design, administration, programming, and support
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, Always On high-availability technology, and SSIS/SSRS implementations
• Experience in a Microsoft-centric environment with Windows and Server Operating Systems
• Proficiency in basic PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Rubrik backup systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable
