SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support enterprise Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments for a federal customer, the remote contract SQL Database Administrator will manage day-to-day database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases and servers
- Monitor database availability, performance, and health while performing SQL performance tuning
- Execute and validate database backups and restores, and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery processes
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of database administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Proficiency in SQL scripting, backup and restore, and database performance tuning
- Experience with SQL Server Clustering and monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
