SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary
To enhance the stability and performance of a high-volume Microsoft SQL Server environment, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage SQL Server databases on-premises and in Azure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security while providing 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and configure SQL Server databases, both on-premises and in Azure cloud environments
- Monitor system health and performance, implementing strategies for optimization and reliability
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, including off-hours production support as needed
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Proficiency in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS administration
- Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and high availability/disaster recovery options for SQL Server
- Strong troubleshooting skills using SQL Server Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, and Performance Monitor
- Experience with Azure SQL and familiarity with third-party SQL Server tools preferred
