SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Database Infrastructure, the fully remote Infrastructure Application and Database SME (SQL) will lead Microsoft SQL database architecture, implementation, and management, ensuring high availability and security while mentoring team members.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Microsoft SQL database architecture, implementation, tuning, security, upgrades, and migrations
- Manage SQL IaaS/PaaS/Managed Instances, Windows Failover Clustering, Always On Availability Groups, STIGs/IAVAs, and team mentorship
- Support meetings periodically at DLA sites as required
Required qualifications
- Ten years of database administration and infrastructure management focused on Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal enterprise Microsoft SQL database environments
- Demonstrated SQL technical leadership and enterprise SQL high availability, security, and cloud platform experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- One of the following certifications: MCSA SQL 2016 DBA or Microsoft Azure DBAA or higher
