SQL Developer and Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time SQL Developer and Analyst will work remotely to provide SQL development, data analysis, reporting, and data quality monitoring for electronic health record (EHR) initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and analysis across large clinical and operational datasets
• Analyze healthcare data, identify trends, and create reports and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to support decision-making
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate data flows, develop data quality monitoring processes, and document findings and technical specifications

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of five years of professional experience developing advanced SQL queries and working with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience analyzing healthcare datasets and familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR
• Strong understanding of relational database structures and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Ability to investigate data discrepancies and ensure data accuracy and integrity through analytical skills
