Key responsibilities
- Tune complex T-SQL against multi-terabyte claims datasets to improve query performance
- Design and maintain indexing, partitioning, and statistics strategies to enhance database efficiency
- Monitor database performance and resolve issues such as blocking and deadlocks
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, database engineer, or performance-focused database developer
- Expert-level T-SQL skills with a proven track record of query optimization
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, including indexing and partitioning
- Experience working with large-scale data, such as multi-terabyte databases
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
