Job Summary
Supporting the growth-focused reinsurance division, the full-time remote Staff Accountant will manage reinsurance agreement accounting, collaborate with various stakeholders, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Record daily deposits and reconcile entries for reinsurance activity, ensuring compliance with treaty terms
- Maintain spreadsheets for tracking deposits and claims funds, while performing timely billing recording and reporting
- Manage communications with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams, and assist in audit preparation and process improvements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
