Staff AI Engineer
Job Summary
Partnering with a cross-functional team, the full-time remote Staff AI Engineer will design, develop, and support AI software components, focusing on foundation model training and large language model inference to enhance customer interactions and internal processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver AI-powered products by collaborating with engineers, research scientists, and product managers
- Design and implement AI software components, including model training, inference, and evaluation
- Set the technical direction for enterprise-wide AI architecture and champion responsible AI principles
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with relevant experience in AI and ML technologies
- At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java
- Experience designing scalable AI systems considering cost, latency, and throughput
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders
- Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics with expertise in AI optimization techniques
