Staff AI Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Staff AI Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, who will set the technical direction for designing, evaluating, and operating production AI agent systems while mentoring engineers and improving software development practices with AI coding agents.
Key responsibilities
- Set technical direction for agent systems, including orchestration, context management, and failure recovery
- Design and operate shared foundations for agent observability, evaluation frameworks, and execution controls
- Establish evaluation practices to measure task completion, accuracy, and security while improving agent reliability
Required qualifications
- 8-10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based agents in production and a strong understanding of their operational constraints
- Proven ability to improve agent reliability through evaluations and incident investigations
- Strong knowledge of agent architectures, including orchestration and memory management
- Experience with production observability and safe rollout of system changes
