Staff Application Engineer
Job Summary
To support advanced-node implementation and design closure, the full-time Staff Application Engineer will debug complex design challenges and provide technical guidance using Synopsys tools, while collaborating with customers to meet aggressive tapeout schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Support customers in physical design implementation and design closure using Synopsys tools
- Debug complex design challenges across timing, power, area, and congestion at advanced process nodes
- Build and maintain automation scripts in TCL to streamline workflows and enhance customer engagement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Direct experience with RTL-to-GDS implementation flows, including synthesis and timing closure
- Strong working knowledge of Fusion Compiler, ICC2, or equivalent digital implementation tools
- Proficiency in scripting with TCL and Python for automation of design tasks
- Experience with advanced process nodes (7nm and below) and familiarity with AI tools for productivity enhancement
