Staff Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
To advance a scalable, developer-centered application security program, the full-time Staff Application Security Engineer will establish secure software development lifecycle policies, partner with development teams to improve secure practices, and evaluate application-security tooling in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and continuously improve company-wide secure SDLC policies and standards
- Partner with development teams to identify and remediate application-security findings
- Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for high-risk applications
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in application security or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing a secure SDLC across multiple teams
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and application-security testing tools
- Experience working directly with developers to improve secure-development practices
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-218 / SSDF or comparable secure-development frameworks
