Staff Applied AI Engineer
Job Summary
To support innovative AI solutions, the full-time Staff Applied AI Engineer will partner with business leaders to design and implement secure, production-grade AI applications while mentoring team members and establishing engineering standards, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite in San Jose, California.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and shape project roadmaps from discovery to delivery
- Design and deploy secure AI solutions, integrating them with existing systems and ensuring production readiness
- Set and maintain engineering standards by developing reusable components and mentoring team members
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years on AI/ML projects
- Hands-on experience with modern AI architecture components and securing AI systems
- Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate needs into actionable plans
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience deploying AI solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience integrating AI systems with APIs, databases, and monitoring production performance
