Job Summary

To drive impactful outcomes in the auto insurance sector, the full-time remote Staff Applied Scientist will build and validate models for carrier selection and media buying, utilizing conversion data to optimize performance and enhance bidding strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement models for determining optimal carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers
• Manage media buying models to ensure effective return on ad spend (ROAS) through data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate with an ML engineer to deploy and monitor production models while addressing data challenges such as sparse sessions and market drift

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with a focus on measurable business impact
• Proven experience in building models that influence paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Strong understanding of neural network fundamentals and ability to explain technical details of models
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model development
• Experience managing models end-to-end, from data acquisition to deployment and monitoring
