Job Summary

Building and deploying advanced models for media buying in the auto insurance sector, the full-time remote Staff Applied Scientist will focus on optimizing carrier selection for shoppers and enhancing bidding strategies to maximize conversion rates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate models to determine optimal carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers
• Manage the integration of carrier conversion data into production models to improve media spend efficiency
• Collaborate with an ML engineer to ensure successful deployment and monitoring of models while addressing data challenges

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with demonstrable business impact
• Proven track record of building models that influence paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Strong understanding of model architecture, including loss functions and neural network fundamentals
• Experience managing end-to-end model development, from data sourcing to deployment and monitoring
• Expertise in Python and SQL
