Job Summary
To support a diverse range of projects, the remote full-time Staff Archaeologist will conduct fieldwork, manage a field crew, perform laboratory analysis, and prepare reports while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork and write small to medium-sized reports while managing field crews and ensuring high-quality standards
- Identify artifacts and conduct archival research, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with project-specific requirements
- Prepare proposals and present findings at professional conferences while promoting pre-task planning for all projects
Required qualifications
- Graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field (MA, MS, PhD) with a minimum of 2 years' related experience
- Familiarity with the cultural history of the region and surrounding areas
- Secretary of Interior (SOI) qualification preferred
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history may be required
