Staff Architect
Job Summary
To support the adoption of AI and enhance the software development lifecycle, the full-time Staff Architect will partner with global architects and product leaders to design, architect, build, and test impactful products while defining large-scale architectural decisions and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Define large-scale architectural decisions and evaluate tradeoffs considering quality, scalability, and sustainability
- Lead architectural design discussions and drive alignment on technical approaches across multiple domains
- Create guides for architectural standards and best practices, facilitating knowledge-sharing across engineering communities
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or architecture; 12+ years for Senior Staff Architect candidates
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Expert knowledge of software architecture principles, modern cloud-based technologies, and distributed systems design
- Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD, and automation
- Fluency in applying AI across the architecture and engineering lifecycle, including familiarity with AI coding agents
